Michael Herring

Michael Herring is an Analyst on the Lodging & Gaming REIT Research team at Green Street, where he contributes to company- and sector-level analysis across the lodging and gaming real estate sectors. He has played a key role in expanding the firm’s private market coverage, assisting in the initiation of Green Street’s lodging private market research and contributing to the publication of its first annual outlook for the sector. Michael also helped initiate coverage of Ryman Hospitality Properties, one of the largest REITs in the lodging space, and supported the development of Green Street’s Casino Database, a comprehensive resource tracking approximately 900 commercial and tribal casinos. Prior to joining Green Street, Michael worked in corporate finance at Ingram Micro, where he supported global operations and shared services teams. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Accountancy from the University of San Diego. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
